Wanakaset

Vim parar a um sítio que acho ainda não ter consciência bem do que é. Após uma viagem longa em que tive de alterar o percurso para chegar ao destino. Vim ter com o Michael, um americano que conheci em Burirame e é uma espécie de relações públicas no meio da permacultura e outros movimentos semelhantes. Um deles, o Wanakaset, nasceu na Tailândia e foca-se em agro-florestas e auto-suficiência (em pelo menos 25%), respeitando a
Natureza e vivendo com equilíbrio financeiro.

Ele deixou-me num sítio onde um senhor, que morreu há pouco tempo, fez crescer uma floresta há 35 anos atrás e transformou muito da matéria prima em produtos naturais.

É um sítio extraordinário com árvores enormes e uma diversidade considerável. Têm uma pequena loja com os produtos, uma oficina onde fazem tijolos com 10% de cimento mas a sua principalmente actividade é um viveiro de plantas com cerca de mil espécies.

Não tem sido fácil estar fora do quarto devido à elevada humidade e quantidade de mosquitos. Só não estou a suar se uma ventoinha estiver a pontada para mim.

Então parece que o senhor Viboon foi apenas o fundador deste movimento tendo sido condecorado pelo rei. Depois de ter enriquecido e entrado em dívidas com a agricultura convencional teve de vender 40 dos seus 42 hectares. Nos restantes, indo contra tudo mas a favor da sua consciência, deu uma grande lição ao mundo. Foi visitado pelo Fukuoka e no último dos seus funerais uma das princesas estará presente.
