Pôr-me à Prova - Put Myself to Test

A semana de aulas está quase a acabar. Tenho alguns desenvolvimentos para partilhar.

Continuo bastante envolvido com as aulas e esforçado em dar os passos nas direcções certas. Posso dizer que as coisas estão a acontecer.

Quanto à luta com o lixo, estou a ver progressos. Numa das cerimónias matinais desta semana, a Som voltou a alertar os alunos e acabaram todos a apanhar lixo. Hoje ao almoço também foi o tema entre os professores. O movimento está a acontecer :)

As minhas melancias também estão a crescer e até já comprei um regador (2€) para ajudar na manutenção.

Depois de sentir que era o momento certo, pedi uma equipa de futebol da escola para treinar. Deram-me a equipa mais velha dos rapazes. não há muita matéria prima mas vou fazer os possíveis. Hoje a equipa das raparigas perdeu 7-0 com a de uma aldeia vizinha.

No início da semana uma tia do Pao, o meu companheiro de jantar e vizinho, ligou-me a dizer que tinha ouvido falar de mim e que precisava de um professor para dar explicações. Que me pagava. Fiquei contente, claro, mas a família do Pao não gosta dela. Ele até já me sugeriu em não aceitar. Parece-me mais uma oportunidade para me pôr à prova: dinheiro ou felicidade? A verdade é que as minhas contas se equilibraram aqui porque gasto muito pouco, mas por outro lado é um dos objectivos que tenho. Vou amanhã para passar o fim-de-semana em sua casa e depois logo vejo.

As minhas lindas melancieiras - My beautiful watermelons

The school week is ending. I have some developments to share.

I keep quite involved with the classes and I have struggled to take the steps in the right direction. I can say that things are happening.

As for the fight with the trash, I see progress. In one of the morning ceremonies this week, Som alerted again the students and they ended all picking up trash. Today at lunchtime it was also the conversation subject among teachers. The movement is happening :)

My watermelons are also growing and I have already bought a watering can (2 €) to help in the maintenance.

After feeling it was the right time, I asked a school football team to train. They gave me the oldest team of boys. There isn't much raw material but I will do my best. Today the girls' team lost 7-0 to a neighboring village.

Earlier in the week an aunt of Pao, my dinner companion and neighbor, called me to tell that she had heard about me and that she needed a teacher to tutoring in her school. That she would pay me. I was happy, of course, but Pao's family doesn't like her. He even suggested me not to accept. It seems to be another opportunity to put myself to test: money or happiness? The truth is that my finances are balanced here because I spend very little, but on the other hand it's one of the goals that I have here in Thailand. I'm going to spend the weekend at her house, and then I see.
