Acho-me um tipo razoavelmente inteligente.

Entre ser sábio e inteligente, sempre achei a segunda opção mais interessante. Enquanto na primeira enches cabeça com informação e impressionas com o que tens lá dentro, na segunda memorizas apenas como e onde obteres a informação que precisas (e a internet ajuda muito aqui), deixando muito espaço livre para relacionares conhecimento e seres criativo. Ou seja, tenho algum cuidado com o que meto na cabeça. Os telemóveis, por exemplo, vieram ajudar para que não tenhamos de memorizar números de telefone.

Tudo isto para dizer que neste momento estou num processo de memorizar os nomes de cerca de duzentos alunos e faço-o com grande prazer. Impressioná-los que sei o nome deles dá-me muito gozo.

Ah! E ainda há as palavras em tailandês que vou aprendendo.

I think I'm a fairly smart guy.

Between being wise and intelligent, I always find the second option more interesting. While in the first you fill your head with information and impress with what you have inside it, in the second you memorize just how and where you get the information you need (and the internet helps a lot here), leaving plenty of free space to relate knowledge and to be creative. In other words, I am a bit careful about what I put in my head. Mobile phones, for example, have come to help in not having to memorize phone numbers.

All this to say that at this moment I am in the process of memorizing the names of about two hundred students and I do so with great pleasure. Impressing them I know their name gives me much joy.

Ah! And there are still the words in Thai that I am learning.
