A Nossa Natureza - Our Nature

Ontem li o Mourinho a dizer que há dez anos treinava homens e hoje treina pirralhos. Miúdos que não largam os telemóveis. Que temos de nos adaptar às mudanças senão é ir contra a Natureza.  Fiquei a pensar bastante naquilo. Admiro muito o Mourinho pensador mas agora cheguei a uma conclusão. (Quem não sabe ainda, eu resisto aos telefones espertos – smartphones) Ao contrário do Mourinho, acho que o Homem, segundo lá o que ele quer chamar de Natureza, erra. E voltando ao tema do lixo, se o continuarmos a produzir como fazemos, o mundo daqui a uns anos vai ser um sítio muito feio. Se continuarmos a seguir a nossa natureza egoísta vamos acabar conosco próprios. Mas ok, os dinossauros também não eram perfeitos. E por falar em dinossauros, sabiam que se reduzíssemos a história do planeta a 24 horas, os dinossauros teriam vivido  meia hora e o Homem apenas 1 minuto e meio! Eu já desconfiava mas estes dados confirmam que a inteligência não é um ponto a favor. Chega de filosofia.

Já não vamos ao Algarve Tailandês com a turma finalista. (Outra vez o inesperado). Têm havido umas tempestades no país e alguns professores e estudantes morreram em viagens semelhantes. Então o governo proibiu viagens longas deste género Vamos só amanhã a Udon Thani e voltamos no mesmo dia. Bah..

Na escola estamos mesmo só a acabar as contagens e classificações. Sem saber bem o que fazer no fim-de-semana, eis que os alunos vão participar num torneio de futebol na aldeia onde mora a Som, e pediram-me para os treinar. E eu adoro. Já tou numa idade que me dá mais gozo treinar e orientar que jogar. Quando julgava que treinar era uma realidade distante.. pumba!

Yesterday I read Mourinho saying that ten years ago he trained men and now he trains brats. Kids who are always playing with their phones. That we have to adapt to changes, otherwise it is against nature. I thought about it a lot. I really admire Mourinho the thinker, but now I have come to a conclusion. (Who doesn't know yet, I resist smartphones) Unlike Mourinho, I think Man following whatever he wants to call Nature, makes mistakes. And going back to the subject of garbage, if we continue to produce it as we do, the world will be a very ugly place a few years from now. If we continue to follow our selfish nature we will end up with ourselves. But okay, the dinosaurs weren't perfect either. And by the way, did you know that if we reduced the history of the planet to 24 hours, the dinosaurs would have lived for thirty minutes and the Man only one minute and half! I already suspected, but these data confirm that intelligence is not a plus. Enough of philosophy.

We no longer go to the Thai Algarve with the finalist class. (Again the unexpected). There have been some storms in the country, and some teachers and students have died on similar journeys. So the government banned long trips of this sort. We'll go to Udon Thani tomorrow and be back on the same day. Bah

At school we are just finishing the scores and classifications. Without knowing what to do at the weekend, the students will participate in a soccer tournament in the village where Som lives, and they asked me to train them. And I love it. I'm already at an age that I enjoy  more to train and guide than to play. When I thought that training was a distant reality... there is it!
