Adoeci. Acho que foi do ventinho que apanhei na carrinha. Hoje não fui jogar à bola e tenho o corpo moído. Nestes dois últimos dias tenho liderado as aulas. A professora Som está mais interessada em comer e já se encostou um bocado. Os alunos têm mais vontade de aprender que alguma vez os adultos vão entender. Os alunos são sempre muito prestáveis e hoje o Dom ajudou-me a montar uma armadilha para o rato que insiste em visitar-me todas as noites para me cagar a estante e comer um pouco das bananas. Também me ajudou a perceber como funciona a máquina de lavar a roupa. O Dom é daqueles miúdos espertos que falaria inglês se eu tivesse ficado cá estes quatro anos, em vez de usar o tradutor automático do telemóvel. Eis outra grande mudança. Toda a gente tem um smartphone hoje em dia.
Felizmente amanhã tenho descanso, pois estou cansado. Mas já me esquecia de como a escola funciona ao bochechos. Vão estar parados por três dias devido a competições entre alunos de escolas da província. Em suma, em duas semanas, apenas seis dias de aulas. As minhas duas alunas extra escola não apareceram hoje mas angariei mais umas para o fim de semana.
Ontem, nos poucos momentos que parei, tive a sensação que tinha nascido para dar aulas. Mas ainda é cedo para falar. O facto de quererem interagir comigo e não saberem como, ajuda muito.
I got sick. I think it was the wind in the van. Today I did not play football and my body is weak. Over the last two days I have led the classes. Teacher Som is more interested in eating and feels comfortable about not doing much. Students are more willing to learn than adults will ever understand. The students are always very helpful and today I helped them set a trap for the mouse that insists on visiting me every night to shit the shelf and eat some of the bananas. I also helped me understand how the washing machine works. It is one of those smart kids who would speak English if I had stayed here for four years, instead of using the automatic translator of the phone. This is another great change. Everyone has a smartphone nowadays.
Fortunately tomorrow I have rest because I am tired. But I forgot how the school works slowly. They will be stopped for three days due to competitions between students from provincial schools. In short, in two weeks, only six days of classes. My two extra school students did not show up today but I got one more for the weekend.
Yesterday, in the few moments I stopped, I had the feeling that I had been born to teach. But it's too early to say. The fact that they want to interact with me and do not know how, helps a lot.
